Welcome to "Adventures in Lead", a blog dedicated to the hobby of miniature wargaming. The figures and terrain on this site are mainly for a campaign set in exotic "Indostan", a distant land bearing remarkable similarities to 18th century India during the Seven Years War. Bits and pieces from other projects may pop up here as well from time to time, including colonials, gladiators, pirates, dinosaur-hunting and even some RPG'ing.
The actual campaign journal and after action reports for the Indostan campaign can be found on their own blog - "Indostan: The Jewel in the Crown", the link to which is found by clicking the small image below-left.
If you do find anything remotely interesting on this blog please leave a comment, it's what keeps these sites going and their authors motivated - Thanks for looking.

The Legacy of Arrius Lurco - RPG Session 5

The great man Arrius Lurco is dead and his body is finally laid to rest, but the adventure is just beginning. Things are starting to hot up for the investigators and the omens are bad, what with Pluto at the gates and propositions in graveyards - things are about to turn weird. Can the investigators press on against the forces of Eihort without a patron, can they survive another night in Fabius Albinus' tenement apartment? Can there be a game lurking somewhere amongst all the giggling. Unlikely.

No list of slighted parties this time around (we were on our best behavior), but if we have still somehow managed to offend someone please accept our humble apologies, no offense was intended.
Please note you can click on the link to stream the audio or right click to save it locally.

If you do download and listen we would love you to leave your comments below. Thanks and enjoy.

  1. I've never played the Roman variant, but you can't beat Cthulhu!

  2. Hey Conrad - Cthulhu Invictus is pretty cool and a nice change from the 1920s. The Legacy of Arrius Lurco is a really great campaign that I thoroughly recommend.

  3. Out of curiosity what setup are you using to record the game? E.g., what kind of microphone, software, etc.?

  4. Hey Gladius - we use a small and fairly inexpensive (I think) Sony Digital Voice Recorder. I do some very minor editing with Audacity, the free audio editing software. I could get the exact model of the recorder I use, but I think they are all much of a muchness. Good luck if you do record - I'd love to hear what you get up to in Legacy.

  5. Actually it was a fairly expensive recording device, Frank :P It's pretty bloody good, though, as many of our listeners have attested to! I use it mostly for interviewing contributors to my Yarns books, and it's crystal clear at the highest quality. A worthwhile investment, I must say.

  7. Next time you record, if you don't mind figuring the model number, let me know - they seem to range greatly in price ($30 US to ~$200 US). I'd assume it's on the upper end :)
